Fox & Hounds 601 Golf Society raise £1,350 for charity

The Fox &Hounds 601 Golf Society held a enjoyable charity golf day at the Southwick Park Golf Club in aid of The Rowans Hospice and in memory of our dear friend Jon Pocock who was a founding member of the Fox & Hounds Community Co-operative and who was sadly lost to cancer in February 2015, 2 months after the pub opened.

The Rowans played an important part in making his last days more comfortable for which we will be eternally grateful.

Steve Foster, the event organiser, said that this is the 4th year that we have held this contest and it is always well supported and has raised in excess of £5,000 in Jonny’s name in aid of the good work of the Rowans.

We appreciate and thank all of the Rowans for the work they do in our community and will continue our ongoing support.
